The Festival of 2007

This year's festival is dedicated to Ingmar Bergman, who passed away the summer before the festival. The festival also institutes a completely new music award, Best Music Award. The very first prize is presented by the legendary film composer Howard Shore, who visits Stockholm to perform the music for »Eastern Promises«. He also leads a performance of his score for »Lord of the Rings« with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Stockholm Concert Hall. This year's theme: All you need is talent.

Every year, about 300 film-interested people work at the festival with ticket sales, information and more. One example is Josef Fares, who volunteered at a young age. In 2007 he inaugurated the festival with his film »Leo«. In 2021, Nathalie Álvarez Mesén will compete with her directorial debut »Clara Sola«, she also has a background as an SFF volunteer.
