The Festival of 1995

THE FESTIVAL SCREENS CENSORED FILM
A censorship debate is raging due to Robert Rodriguez's violent film »Desperado« which is shown in uncut condition at the festival in 1995. It will first be completely banned in Sweden but will have its Swedish premiere later the same year, but then censored with a few minutes cut. It will take another 15 years before film censorship is completely abolished in Sweden.

HONORARY GUESTS
1995 is the first time that the guest of honor is not a director or actor – but a fashion designer. Jean Paul Gaultier has been the name for the costume design for several acclaimed films, including Luc Besson's »The Fifth Element«.
