With some secrets from an earlier rowdy life of drugs and violence, Jimmy has started a new life with wife and kids. One day old friend Ossy appears and the past has caught up with Jimmy. It almost costs him his life.
In order to start a new normal'' life with work, a wife and children, Jimmy felt he had to leave h is friend Ossy. Ossy feels rejected and can not stand the perfect sight that meets him when he comes to visit his friend. On Ossy's neck there is the tattoo of a snake, and like a serpent he nestles his way into paradise and forces Jimmy to be in on a drug deal, which does not end well. In the beginning of the film it seems impossible for Jimmy to solve the conflict between his friendship to Ossy and his love for his wife. But both people and situations change during the course of the movie.
The film was shot on Iceland, and the particular landscape marks an interesting contrast to the high tempo of the movie, with quick cuts and an imagery that resembles that which David Lynch used
in Wild at Heart. A reoccurring sequence shows a flat landscape with deserted roads that continue into the horizon. A car is coming closer, shot in extreme close-up
from the front, a car door opens and a man is thrown onto the road, after which the car disappears toward the horizon.
Simon Staho's men seek their identity during wanderings in different countries, Thailand, Denmark and Iceland. Those become trips full of friendship, love, selfdestruction and betrayal.
