Visitor Q

The daughter has left home and is making her living as a prostitute and the son is regularly beating up his mother, who escapes into drug-abuse. The father is a documentary filmmaker, more ambitious that talented, who one day invites an unknown man into his house. Visitor Q is a collection of tableaus that shows the broadest variety of perversions and man's most primary instincts. The insufferably dark image is sometimes lifted by a liberating sense of humour, but Miike's view on the dark sides of family life is not something for the sensitive audience. The film is one out of numerous films that the very productive Miike has directed during the past two years.
