7–18 november 2012

Veranda for en tenor is in its whole an exceptionally style conscious production, which clearly writes itself into the European art-film tradition. The film shifts unhampered between colour and black and white, between the past and the present - and it ties the both levels together with illusion-breaking dialogues, that bridge the gap between space and time: mother Inga-Lill who during the summer of 1961 is questioning her lines with her grown son/screenwriter in the present.
It is with a sturdy hand that Ohlin brings to life Östergren's vision of male bonding.
