Undressing My Mother is a soul-baring meditation on the loneliness of the psyche and the needs of the flesh. Ken Wardrop undresses his mother, Ethel, both physically and emotionally when he explores her naked body as she is pondering her overweight, her ageing and the loss of her husband. The film ends with Ethel sobbing, wanting her husband back as the camera sweeps over her body and stops at her feet. Ken Wardrop has shot the film with his real-life mother in her own house.
