When the TV company NBC asked Michael Moore if he was interested in making seven one hour programmes, his reply was: ''I don't really think that you want me to do what I want.'' But to his surprise they were still interested.
The result is TV Nation, an entertaining series of programmes with an important message. A series of very individual reports from places where the big TV companies avoid. A factually based comical news programme with a message. Its format reminds you of the legendary 60 minutes however Moore is not your man to walk around in a suit and tie working like a true journalist. He is the tall, impressive rebel who walks around in jeans and a baseball cap and doesn't mind being funny at other people's expense.
TV Nation is Moore's attempt to attack the entire American system. And he does it in his own way: raw and subjective with a glint in his eye. In TV Nation we get to see how Moore visits Mexico in order to find out if the NAFTA agreement works and how he checks out the alleged racism among New York taxi drivers. We also get to follow him on a trip to Russia where he is looking for nuclear missiles.
