Your Life in 65 Minutes

Your Life in 65 Minutes

av Maria Ripoll

When young Dani and his friends Francisco and Ignacio meet for their ritual Sunday football and paella, they happen to see an old friend’s obituary in the newspaper. Even though they haven’t met him for years they decide to go to his funeral, where they realize that the dead person isn’t their friend at all. Instead of mourning an old pal they meet the deceased’s sister, Christina, and after that nothing stays the same. Their friendship gets put to the test as they discover sides of each other that they have tried to repress. Christina’s loss makes Dani remember his father’s death and when he tries to help her he falls in love. Your Life in 65 Minutes is a story about the most natural thing in life - death - and director Maria Ripoll tells it with the same warm touch she used in her breakthrough film Tortilla Soup. The unexpected ending points out that we can never take life for granted.  Fanny Lindgren Agazzi
