It is summer in New York. Sometimes it rains during the summer, so as well in New York. One day when the sky has opened up, three tenants are locked into the basement of their house. WhiIe waiting
to get out, they are forced to spend time together. And it can be enough pressure to have to deal with other people's history, ego, frustrations and hopes.
Three Below Zero plays off of the stereotypical visions people have concerning sex and power, in a very thoughtful way.
I n Three Below Zero the characters are allowed to live out their fantasies and thoughts concerning assumed superiority, degree of dependence and personal sexuality. Stereotypical male visions are put eye to eye with its female counterparts. The stereotypical male fantasy world is put on the side of the accused, where the jury is two women.
Soon a peculiar 19ame of truth] has started in Three Below Zero. A game where it is impossible to find any clear winner or loser.
Shot in Cinemascope, which enhances the claustrophobic, suffocating dimensions. Three Below Zero puts the audience against the wall-that is probably the least one could say.
