Things Behind The Sun

Singer Sherry meets the musical journalist Owen, who has booked an interview with her. But as they get more acquainted with each other, haunting memories of a sexual assault begin to surface.

Rape in the cinema is often a very touchy and problematic subject. Too problematic for many filmmakers, since they often focus on the time of the event and the catching of the bad guy. Anders, with her own experience of a similar tragedy, tells the story of the trauma still present within the victim after 20 years. She deals with the unfolding of memories, and the ways in which remembering becomes somewhat cathartic.
