The Myth

Jackie Chan is back and in his new adventure movie ”The Myth” where he plays no less than two parts. The film is set in two different time spaces that intertwine. Chan plays on one hand an ancient general, and on the other hand the incarnation of the same in modern time. The general is deeply in love with a princess – and his modern alter ego, an archaeologist, starts searching for her. There might be a chance to find her – because thousands of years ago she took a pill that was intended to give her a long life. ”The Myth” is produced in historical locations in China and India, and is a mixture of Indiana Jones-like adventure, love story, martial arts and time travel. The film is produced by Jackie Chan and directed by Stanley Tong, collaborates since many years back. ”The Myth” is made outside of Hollywood, where Jackie Chan has more freedom to experiment with other types of roles than in ”Rush Hour”.HENRIK EMILSON
