The Last Producer

Sonny Wexler is an old, battle-scarred film producer with his glory days well behind him. Now everybody laughs behind his back and his dream-factory has been taken over by young and cocky rascals. By coincidence he gets a hold on a script written by a youngster and nothing short of a miracle. Evidently it is the script of the decade! For Sonny this signifies his last chance to rehabilitate both his career and his marriage. But to succeed in catching this nugget he has to find 50.000 dollars within five days. The problem is that he hardly owns the clothes on his body and barely his watch that is ticking at a furious pace towards the hair-raising finale ... The Last Producer also features other Hollywood stars that are close friends with Reynolds, among them the Swedish born Ann-Margret, Charles Durning and Rod Steiger.
