The Eye 2

The Eye 2

av Oxide och Danny Pang

Joey is miserable and takes an overdose of sleeping pills but is rescued in the last minute. After the near-fatal incident, she suddenI y starts to see dead people all around, dead souls that are preparing to re-enter the real world via newborn babies. Joey's lover wont take her calls when she tries to tell him she is pregnant and a strange, staring woman seems to be stalking her wherever she goes. Finally, Joey realises what has to be done and who the mysterious woman really is, or was.
The Pang Brothers had plenty of success with the predecessor The Eye, which dealt
with the same issues. The Eye 2 is a rare exception from the rule that sequels always are worse than the original. It offers a great cast, impressive editing and, most importantly, a truly scary experience, but not in the bloody, gory kind of way. Some of the ghost sequences are both creepy and visually poethic in a very refreshing style. As with The Eye the answers to the unknown phenomenon is to be found in the main character's past relations. There is always hope at the end of the nightmare.
