The Dinner Game

Every Wednesday Pierre Bronchant and his friends meet for dinner. Each one has the task to bring an idiot: he who finds
the funniest and most original one wins. This night Pierre has found a real catch, the ultimate moron. He is Francois Pignon, a shy accountant at the Ministry of Finance, whose biggest passion is building models using matches. But Pierre's joy of having found the perfect idiot is not long-lived and his entire existence is turned upside down.
Most of Le dTner de cons takes place in Pierre Brochant's apartment in Paris. The film stars Thierry Lhermitte as Pierre and Jacques Villeret as Francois, and the film is mainly based on the interaction of the two actors. Pierre has a very demeaning view of people which reflects in his lack
of respect and pure malice. He betrays his friends, cheats on his wife and makes fun of people. He considers himself to be better than ordinary people and view them from above. But when he encounters the great defeat and realizes that he is not better than others, it is the idiot Francois who opens h is eyes and becomes his support.
The film is made in a humorous way, where everything is built around strong personalities and with a witty dialogue. This is a film about getting to know oneself and finding kindness in others.
