The Convent

The Convent

av Mike Mendez

It's 1959. Armed with black sunglasses, a bottle of whisky and a hockey bag full of shotguns, Christine walks into the convent where she has been raised. With cheerful 1950's music in the background she blows the whole place to pieces. This sets the scene for an amazing nunvampire/slasher/gore-party. Forty years later a gang of college students break into the now condemned convent to trash it with graffiti. They shouldn't have done that! Bloodthirsty killer nuns get the Goth-babe, the Barbie nazi, the stout girl and the testosterone-filled boys in the party. The Convent is a film without inhibitions and a wideranging group of characters. Especially funny is the policeman with attitude problems played by the rapper Coolio. Adrienne Barbeau plays the older Christine who 40 years earlier trashed the convent. Barbeau is best known for her role in Escape from New York (1981).
