The Adventures of Iron Pussy

When the Thai government suspects a foreign businessman of illegal activity in the country, there is no hesitation of whom to contact - Iron Pussy of course! With earrings loaded with dynamite, the sharpest heels you have ever seen and a voice from heaven, this drag queen agent is up for the deadliest of assignments. With her admirer and assistant Pew, she embarks on an adventure where Thai high society, tiger safaris and strange caves all take her closer to a web of drug smuggling gangsters. Along the way she also encounters love, and at the same time discovers some answers about her heritage.
The character Iron Pussy was born four years ago in an art video by the actor himself, Michael Shaowanasai, Together with award winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, he has now created this full-length comedy as homage to the golden age of Thai B-movies. Where incredible gowns, interiors and Thai go-go hits, serves as the back drop for a heroine best described as a cross between Modesty Blaise, Indiana Jones and Julie Andrews.
