Spacedust

Spacedust is director Joe Berger's third film in competition in this year's ifestival section. Although completely different in both content and form from the other two films, Covert and Matchbox, Berger deals with the same theme - that what we think we see is not actually what it seems. In Spacedust, a small mosquito-like spacecraft is drifting through the universe. When landing on an unknown planet, the spacecraft suddenly turns into a probe. A series of changes leads it to the core of the planet and a surprising resolution. Spacedust is a beautiful and quirky short from a promising talent. CHAMOUN ISSA
