From the producers of Human Traffic, South West 9 depicts the fluid culture of Brixton, the most racially and socially integrated section of London. The film follows six of the city's inhabitants through a twelve-hour period in which their lifestyles and identities are thrown into question. Anarchists, fanatic nationalists, conmen and rich bankers are cast together in the search for something valuable each has lost.
A cast of new faces, a vibrant soundtrack and an original visual style gives this film more credibility than others in its genre. South West 9 is the first film to be shot entirely in Brixton, a fact that the filmmakers emphasise with the slogan ''Notting Hill this ain't!''
