Stockholm Film Festival

A space station has been buiIt over the planet Solaris, which seems to only consist of water. After a series of peculiar incidents, psychologist Chris is sent to the station to examine them. He finds that one of the three scientists that man the station, has comitted suicide. The other two behave oddly and are reserved. Chris seems to get glimpses of other people on board, but the scientists seem at first unknowing. But when Chris suddenly sees his wife, who committed suicide several years earlier, the scientists admit that they have had ''visitors''. It appears like the planet is part of the mystery.
