This is the love story of the middle-aged window cleaner Bent A (played by Clausen) and the younger, insecure, single mother Vibeke. Clausen clearly illustrates Danish reality in a story set in his hometown in the district of Amager in Copenhagen. But if, earlier, he depicted this as a stronghold for solidarity and popularity, he now offers a more cynical image. For people to get close to each other in ''our neighbourhood'' proved to be Bent A's daydream - the reality is completely different. Everybody has secrets, and loneliness and egoism has replaced solidarity. But nothing is completely hopeless in Clausen's world and his easily recognisable Clausen character makes a contrast to Marianne Frost's nervous acting. It is superbly complemented by Dirk Brüel's beautiful photography.
