Steaming with Kurosawa estecism, this subversive short is the samurai movie at its perfection. Taking place in feudal Japan, Samurai tells the tale of a love triangle drama, in which two strong minded brothers end up in an everlasting battle, taking place in a landscape changing from colours, seasons and time. Tragic stubborness in contrast to calm surroundings blend together and create perfect harmony.
