Loners

In Samotati, we meet a group of twenty-somethings in Prague, Who live seemingly without purpose and goals. Thier parents show no understanding for the new generationls way of life and are very concerned that they may never settle down. The film consists of scenes with a lot of dialogue and travelling by car. The course of events is placed somewhat in the background, favouring analysis of feelings and thoughts. Most of it revolves around the characters thoughts about life and love, against a background of old factory buildings, worn down areas around the central station, and ordinary residential areas. Samotari is an account of our time with a focus on relationships and love, that one can surely relate to whether one lives in Prague, New York or Stockholm.
