A gangster who is dying of cancer is making his last and best robbery. The gangster, played by Andy Lau, begins to play a cat-and-mouse game with a policeman, played by Lau Ching-wan. This develops into a game as complicated as it is deadly. Andy Lau, the kanto-popstar plays fyll of energy and intensively opposite Johnnie To's favourite actor Lau Chingwan. The film can be seen as a variation of earlier Johnnie To productions such as The Longest Nite and A Hero Never Dies (both with Lau Ching-wan) where the relation between the male main characters stood in the centre. To that we get further some frantic variations on the mobile phone's dramatic possibilities and in the middle Yoyo Mung that does what anyone kidnapped by Andy Lau would do ...
