Renaissance

Paris, 2054. The large corporation Avalon, whose primary export are youth and beauty, monitors and records every aspect of contemporary life. When Ilona Tasuiev, a young, ambitious researcher, is gone missing on her way to one of the Avalon clinics, the controversial police officer Barthélémy Karas is forced to take on the task of finding her. As Karas moves through the city labyrinth it unfolds that Ilona could have been working on something highly important – or highly dangerous. Renaissance is a classic action thriller drama which deals with the problematic issues of corporations or authorities trespassing the individuals right to privacy and freedom of choice. Essentially inspired by the George Orwell 1984 problem and with visual resemblance to Sin City, Renaissance has been called an animated Matrix or a French Blade Runner.SARAH PÅLVALL
