Raghu Romeo

In his second full length feature film, director Rajat Kapoor depicts the dreamer Raghu (Vijay Raaz from Monsoon Wedding) with sensitivity and tenderness. Raghu takes TV too seriously. He is in love with a soap opera character called Neetaji who, to him, is the warmest, most loving person on earth. When he isn't busy watching TV, Raghu works as a waiter at a night club with a somewhat suspect clientele. One evening, he realises that one of the visitors at the night club, a professional killer called ''Brother'', is making plans to kill Reshma, the actress that plays Neetaji. Raghu decides to save her - by kidnapping her. The actress however, turns out to be nothing like the character she portrays.
The lead female roles of Reshma and Raghu's best friend, Sweety, are energetically played by Maria Goretti and Saadiya Siddiqui. Raghu Romeo is a true Bollywood film
in the sense that the actors jump into sudden outbursts of singing and dancing but its narrative contains more than the usual happy love story theme.
For three years Raghu Romeo remained only a dream of Kapoor's who finally decided to finance part of the film with his own money. It is his second feature.
