Isabelle is a student nurse in the surgical unit of a large hospital. One night, in the corridors of the hospital, Isabelle meets the awkward Dr. Philipp. Her head starts to spin and she faints at his feet. The incident reoccurs repeatedly, but strangely enough only when she meets the doctor. Isabelle is increasingly puzzled by the surgeon who appears in the hospital day and night and who shows an unhealthy interest in her malaises. She becomes convinced that he is hiding something, and as the story continues she learns that indeed, he is.
Who killed Bambi? is not as its title might suggest a cartoon caper, but a mix between a thriller and a love
story. Gilles Marchand is best known as co-writer of Laurent Cantefs Human Resources and co-scriptwriter to Dominik Moll's film Harry, He's Here to Help, and this is his feature debut. Actress Sophie Quinton makes a powerfull acting debut in this film. ''Bambi'' will become the doctor's pet name for her character as she gradually starts being torn between feelings of fear and fascination. The name of Bambi is clearly a direct reference to Disney's most celebrated fawn- a great hero and atthe same time a fragile being
who keeps his eyes open to the world.
