A wheel-chaired baron, whose very strange son is celebrating his birthday, invites a theatre grOl!p of five young people to perform Little Red Riding Hood for ,the two of them in their majestic castle in the middle of the woods. A few days earliera number of rape-murders have been committed near the castle, and the hunt for the murderer is being carried out in the area. The gothic environment, the murders nearby and the birthday boy, who doesn't speak and stabs himself in the hand with a fork, have a special effect the group. They play in the halls of the castle, but when darkness falls it is no longer a game. This is a film in the new French wave of young promising filmmakers. Lionel Delplanque has created a nightmare that gives us bestial, murders, sex, unusual personalities, violence and mystique, quite unlike the French film we are used to.
