The Plutonium Circus is a documentary about the hometown for USA's only atomic bomb factory. Once shrouded in secrecy, the Department of Energy's Pantex Plant outside of Amarillo, Texas, sends shivers up the worlds spine. After being the country's only final assembly point for all nuclear weapons, creating as many as four per day, 1 500 per year, Pantex now dissassembles weapons and stores all of the plutonium inside the plant grounds.
But still this dokumentary is more about strange people in a strange town than about the nuclear bomb factory. A town that voted 88% on bringing Rocky Flat's plutonium processing in to drum up more business. And all of these strange people have one strange thing in common, their major breadwinner assembles and dissassemble all of the country's nukes and stores all of the plutonium in WWII-era munitions bunkers.
