Hare Hunting

A young lad and his grandfather decide to head out together to
hunt hare in a barren Russian winter landscape. Although the
boy’s grandmother has recently died, neither the boy nor the
grandfather can relate emotionally to what has taken place. The
hare hunt becomes a cathartic experience for both, as death
suddenly turns into something visible and frightening.
Hare Hunting is a beautiful and poetic short fi lm with a visual
language suffused with magical realism.
