Stockholm Film Festival

A man travelling by train coincidentally ends up in a village and checks in at a hotel. A dead girl is in the bathroom. He listens to his neighbor’s conversations through the wall, obtains a large suitcase and begins his exploration through the dissolving borderline, contradiction and déjà-vu. Mathieu Seiler tells his story somewhere between Lynch, Hitchcock and the Grimm brothers. 0rgienhaus is told in a sublimal but controversial way, with a suggestive soundtrack, powerfull symbolism and beautiful, yet sometimes painful, images from a playful camera work. The film describes a fantasy about souls’ kinship between outsiders, an unknown man's relation to two twin girls and witch-hunters making bonfires in the woods. The leading actors Vanessa Augustin and Gustavo Salami seem to be born to play these parts.
