This film about clouds tells a story of life, death and the ecosystem, in a very poetic and quiet way. It is simplistically drawn in charcoal, erasing only the sharpest of the lines from the previous figure before drawing the next so we can see traces of the movement. This creates a feeling that everything we do on earth leaves a trace. In the world of the film the clouds are everything this life is about. It describes life as being circular, in the way we are born, eaten by a cloud and then reborn by the same cloud. It is a dreamy film that makes you think. Screened at Cannes this year.ERICA LUUK
