Miss Amerigua

Miss Ameriguà is a satiric tragicomedy set in a small city in Paraguay in the present Latin America. It's a metaphor based in the best tradition of the magic realism narrative.

The movie is an allegory which mixes the unnatural powers with the wishes, drama with comedy, violence with romanticism, sensuality with tragedy, love with revenge, magic with reality etc.

It's about the extraordinary incidents which take place this special day, the day the Beauty Queen of the Year will be crowned. In the spotlight are three girls, who all see their chances for a better life if they'll be the chosen one. The film is also about the return of the lost son.
