Magda

A man recalls his love affair with a beautiful circus artist in this bittersweet romance influenced by the film noir genre. In the contrast between the neon lights in the alleyways and the saturated colours of the circus, the filmmaker focuses on the obsessed passion, the rules of show business and this complex thing called love. Magda is the last film in Chel White's trilogy of Joe Frank adaptations and had its world premiere at The Rotterdam International Film Festival earlier this year.
