King of the Airwaves

How does it feel to be at the receiving end of a remote control? Louis Jobin would like to find out. He has a tedious job in a TV shop. But Louis has a dream: the dream of being on TV. While awaiting the right moment, Louis is present at any TV show or game show with a studio audience.

A new TV competition is launched, Big Star. Louis takes a chance, and wins. He becomes the first person in the world that gets to spend three months of his life on live TV. A camera records his every move day and night, and it is all broadcast live on Channel 19.

Louis' existence changes dramatically. Now he is a superstar! Admired, gawped at by millions of TV viewers. A real success story! However, Louis soon realizes that being the king of media costs more than it is worth. Suddenly everybody thinks they have a right to interfere in his life. Whose life is it anyway?

Together with a couple of friends, Louis decides to strike back. Who wins? The cannibalistic TV or the zapping weirdo? Louis 19 is a frantic Canadian comedy that was a huge success at home.
