The playfulness and anarchistic structure of the 60's French New Wave has inspired many directors throughout the years. When Antonin Peretjatko approaches the style of Jean- Luc Godard and Francois Truffaut, it's all there. The fashion, the jazz music, the happygo-lucky people, the sports cars, the lemme fatales and of course, the streets of Paris. Three lriends, trying to remember how they met their female friend (Ettore Scola comes to mind), is the not-so-important plot. Peretjatko instead jumpcuts an entire film generation and very humorously creates a New Wave 01 his own. JOHAN LINDQVIST
