CRI DU COEUR, LE

Moctar lives with his mother Saffi in Africa. One day she receives a letter from France which makes her very happy. Her husband Ibrahim Sow has worked in France for years, and finally he is able to bring them over. The news shatters Moctar's existence, he is forced to leave his home village, his friends and his sickly grandfather.

In France Moctar has a vision where he is chased by a hyena. Nobody wants to believe in his supernatural experience and people around him make fun of him at his expense. Eventually the members of his family start to worry about his mental health. However, Moctar runs into 50-year-old Paolo in the street by chance, and he helps him to overcome his fear of the hyena.
