La fosse rouge

Zaïrs is a troubled young man. The oldest child of four in a family kept together by a single mother. After a misunderstanding by a couple of cynical cops, he gets to spend a night in jail and misses his exam. His future may be threatened but he doesn't want to trouble his already pressured mother. He keeps quiet. Burdened with guilt, he tries to keep the family together and his younger sister out of trouble. A strong suburban story about being young yet being expected to act like an adult; and about life after the heart of a family breaks down. DAN FRÖBERG
