The Cosmonaut

In 1991 cosmonaut Igor Fedrov breaks the world record for man's stay in space. His achievement is a great victory for the Soviet Union. But when it is time for him to come down the Soviet Union collapses, leaving him alone on Mir, unsupervised. Running out of fuel and power Mir slowly starts to fail. A beautiful short with images that can hold its own against any other space movie.
