Ike is half baby, half duckling. His wings were taken down at birth, and he stands chained in his play-pen in the kitchen.
On the top of a shelf there is matchbox with a motif of a beautiful swan. His dream is to become like that swan, and to do so he has to reach up to the matchbox. With all the toys in the kitchen as witnesses,
he puts on his wings again and off he goes ...
