Kathy In Her Bedroom

At first this appears to be just another cute indie film. An animation in pastel and a soothingly slow tempo, with seemingly simple yet effective aesthetics. After a while though a dark undertone is apparent. Something dangerous seems to be lurking behind the cute surface of the furry animals starring in the film. Nancy Jean Tucker has made a lovely short that emphasizes the importance of not staying locked in your room all day. The film is based on the song “Kathy In Her Bedroom” by the Los Angeles band Bedroom Walls. LINA SELLEBY
