Jump

This is a somewhat macabre but at the same time thoughtful comedy about a suicidal young man who, at this very moment, is standing on his roof top ready to jump. His self-centred friends do not realise the seriousness of the situation but climb up one after another on to the roof to tell him about their own problems. Their stories give us the missing pieces of the puzzle we need to understand his hesitation about remaining in this world. Jump is a film about friendship - or the lack of a true one. McCarthy's brother Andrew has a small part as a clown. In the cast you find among others James LeGros (In Los Angeles without a Map), lone Skye (Gas Food Lodging) and the new Hollywood star Amanda Peet, who can also be seen at the Stockholm International Film Festival in Whipped by Peter M. Cohen.
