David Gold tried to run a carrier company in California. Now he's back in his home town and runs across his former class-mate Judy Berlin. She is still her outgoing and charismatic self. As daylight over town is absorbed by a solar eclipse they talk about memories. Judy Berlin transforms the familiar idyllic American suburbia into a remarkable landscape filled with dark and unexpected beauty.
