The inferno within the Hong Kong police department continues. In this final chapter of the popular Infernal Affairs trilogy, the story is told in a parallel time frame, before and after the death of officer Yan, who was killed in the first movie.
Officer Ming, now stuck behind a desk administrating uniforms for other cops, discovers that triad influence is still big within the department. Pending an internal investigation himself, he sees his big chance to set things straight. The million-dollar question is of course: who is the triad mole this time around? Or is Ming just seeing ghosts, his vision is
blurred from a violent past and his upcoming divorce?
Count on an explosive showdown as well as a surprise to end this very well crafted film series. This sequel was nominated in nearly every category at the Hong Kong Film Awards and the first chapter in the trilogy bagged the grand slam with a total of seven awards at the same festival last year. A lot of effort is put into both the acting and the choice of actors in this Hong Kong-action - Tony Leung (Hero, Cyclo) is one of the biggest stars of Asian cinema, and Andy Lau was last seen in Zhang Yimou's The House of Flying Daggers.
