Respire

In a near future a contagious virus is roaming the streets. Face masks are mandatory, the sick are quarantined, and belongings are incinerated. A girl on drift in this dystopia spends her last hours in the company of a young man in search of warmth and love in a cold and clinical world. Inspired by - but not about - SARS, Respire is a visually contrasting film that has won two prizes: the Kodak Discovery Award for best short film and the Young Critics Award in Cannes. Starring in lead roles are Vera Lin, front woman of local rock band Bad Daughter, together with bass player Chez Ching Han.SARAH PÅLVALL
