Hon är död

The Swedish short musical has certainly come to life. Last year we could see the exuberant Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers in theatres and now Hon är dod by Henry Moore Seider. The big star in Seider's morbid and stylish short is the one deceased. The whole country is in mourning and the coroner dwells in sorrow as he was the one closest to her. Seider and leading actress/corpse Sara Lunden are both experienced in the crossings between music and art and together they compose with a brilliant sense of rhythm. Moving away from sentiment and focusing on the disciplined rituals of death, the result is an easy listening-piece as catchy as it is disturbing. JOHAN LINDQVIST
