His Girl Friday

An American screwball comedy, set in an editorial office where both work and love are under discussion. Walter the editor, who used to be married to Hildy the reporter, finds out that not only is she planning to leave the paper, she also intends to remarry. Hildy is fed up with the pace, instead she wants a simple life with a home, children and a husband. When a killer escapes from his cell the day before his execution, Walter hands the scoop over to Hildy. But Walter's motive is more than just work.
