After nearly getting himself killed in a shoot-out, young construction worker Ney decides to take revenge. But things don’t go as planned. Ney and his presumptive victim manages to kill each other in the settlement. From here three stories branch off, all of them situated in modern Casablanca - an urban jungle, reminiscent of Scorsese's New York in Mean Streets, where individuals determine each others destinies without knowing.Besides Ney we get to know Lisa, a 42-year-old widow whose life takes a sudden turn when she becomes the caretaker of a young boy. We also meet Salim – just released after spending 15 years in prison. Heaven’s Doors is the first feature film of the young directors Imad and Swel Noury, produced by their mother, Pilar Cazorla. With its captivating and characteristic photography that bears resemblance to Soderbergh’s Traffic, Heaven’s Doors is sure to leave no one unmoved.JONAS ADNER
