Hand on heart

Sooner or later you have to be true to your heart and do what's right, even if it means risking your life. Hand on Heart is an allegory of rebellions against leader oppression and the sacrifices of any political struggle. The meditation of a man, probably one of the emperor's henchmen, surfaces thoughts of his master sweeping the country of its riches. Confronted with a moral dilemma, he finds a simple solution in refusing the easy way, even though his disciple questions his decision. Louveau presents a multi-layered story in a narrow format, with stylish photography uncovering the shadows in our hero's mind. JOHAN LINDQVIST
