In the summer of 2000 writer and video director Stephen Marshall, together with TV producer and brand strategist Josh Shore, co-founded the underground news organisation Guerilla News Network with the mission to expose people to important global issues through guerilla programming on the web and on television. In order to reach out to people, G.N.N. uses Guerilla NewsVideos, which are described on www.gnn.tv as: ''music videos for people who think - mini-documentaries that combine high-impact imagery, tracks from top recording artists and interviews with leading experts about important issues underexposed by the big media outlets. They aim to rock as hard as they inform, shock and inspire''. This compilation features several NewsVideos originally shown on www.gnn.tv. Featured NewsVideos include the critically acclaimed Countdown - a critique of American news media and politics cut to beats produced by Adam ''Ad Rock'' Horowitz of the Beastie Boys. Also featured is the award winning Crack the CIA - a video in which G.N.N. sheds light on the history of CIA drug smuggling to the sound of ambient hip hop-loops. News has probably never been more hard rocking, informing, shocking, and inspiring. N I KLAS MATSSON
