Don and Donatella are in a violent marriage. Waiting for the divoroe Don takes charge and builds a wall through the middle of the house. He's partying with his pals in his half of the house while in the other half Donatella is sitting with her new partner Marion feeling furious. They are both mustering for a war, Don gets firearms and Donatella intends to take him to Court. The film is strongly ironical about a USA where the general opinion is that everyone has the right to own firearms. Good Housekeeping is also a humorous and absurd film about the difficulties of living together. Bob Mills (Don) delivers one-liners in a very convincing way. There have been references to Dogma films but the director himself says that he wanted to depict people and situations that at worst can lead to a feature in one of Jerry Springer's tv-shows. Good Housekeeping was awarded the grand jury prize at the Siamdance Festival this year and was screened at the critic's week in Cannes.
